Sulam's AAC Learning Center in Jerusalem, which opened in September 2016 provides tools such as communication boards, computers, and iPads for students with autism and other communication or speech difficulties.

New School Building for Afikim Program

The new building "their home away from home". Afikim, one of Sulam's branches services 118 girls ages 6 - 17 with various disabilities. Many of these girls have suffered neglect, trauma and multiple placement breakdowns and have a high level of need. A number of girls have been victims of sexual abuse.
For the last 17 years we have been providing the students at Afikim with a comprehensive educational framework, as well as an intense therapy program. Learn more...

Sulam's Hydrotherapy Pool located in our Jerusalem branch has been operative since February of 2015. Since its inception, the pool has been in use every day, for a full day, for both Sulam children in need of hydrotherapy, and for children and adults needing hydrotherapy, who reside in the area. Adopt a child!

The Israeli government funds a standard array of therapy for every child diagnosed with disabilities. In 2012, due to financial difficulties, they were forced to make across the board budget cuts, which heavily impacted the weakest sectors of society. Performing Arts Program

Afikim, Sulam's school for girls, services students aged 6-17 with various disabilities. In addition to a school Afikim also serves as a haven for girls at risk.Many students, some due to their disabilities, have gone through severe neglect, abuse, and trauma. Our priority is to protect our students and prevent and stop the cycle of neglect and abuse.
One of the many tools being used in Afikim’s emotions therapy program is “performing arts and drama therapy”.Students are given individual and group sessions in drama, music, song and dance. Learn more...

Job Training

Life Skills

Sulam offers a unique life skills program for our students with learning disabilities in conjunction with Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
The students prepare care packages and deliver it to patients hospitalized there.
They are responsible for all aspects of the project including planning and shopping for supplies, putting the packages together going to the hospital and personally delivering the gifts. Learn more...
